MOSCOW, Jan 18 (PRIME) -- Russian Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin called on employers on Tuesday to switch staff to remote work where it is possible.

“Addressing the employers, to help our doctors and decrease the load on medical facilities, personnel should be switched to remote work where it is possible and will not hinder the production process. The measure mainly applies to senior citizens and the people with chronic diseases,” Mishustin said.

He also drew attention of the employers to the necessity of testing the employers working in offices.

Moscow Mayor Sergei Sobyanin said separately that the order for the city’s employers to keep at least 30% of their staff at remote work is prolonged till April 1. “We also recommend the employers, where it is possible, to move a bigger volume of their staff to remote work, as many as possible, to decrease flows of citizens on transport and contacts,” the mayor said.

The home regime for the people over 60 and chronically ill is prolonged till April 1 as well.
